General zooming in on page content

Most Internet browsers allow users to zoom into web pages - to do this hold down the Ctrl key and roll the mouse wheel, alternatively hold down the Ctrl key and and press the + or - key to zoom in or out.  All content is enlarged or reduced by the same magnification.

Firefox users

The Firefox browser can be set to zoom only the text content of web pages, this makes for a more readable page which does not  disappear off the sides of the screen. The templates used in these web pages allow the text to scale up without breaking out of text frames or distorting the placement of images. To enable this function select 'VIEW' from the Firefox  toolbar then ' ZOOM', a fly out menu offers the user the zoom options - click on 'ZOOM TEXT ONLY' to enable the feature.
