My question of anyone on the site is whether it is possible to ascertain whether Admiral Sir Roger Backhouse visited either HMS Shropshire or Cornwall whilst they were docked in Gibraltar on the following dates? A very long shot I understand, but it seems as though there are some real experts on this site.
HMS Shropshire: 24th December -28th January 1934, 4th March-8th April 1935,23-27July 1935.
HMS Cornwall: 6-8th February 1937, 12-25th March 1937.
