IJN officers observing air operation with the RN, circa 1916-1920

Hello again,

Sometime between 1916 and 1920, two Japanese navy officers were allowed to observe RN air operations and fleet manœuvres. This photo may show Lieutenant Captain/Commander (sources vary as to his rank) on board HMS Furious. Officer Tosu was the other observer. Both provided detailed reports on RN use of aircraft. However, the tide was turning and the old friend was soon to become the new enemy.
