WW2 Service Record Abbreviations

Hello.
My late father served on converted trawler minesweepers (HMTs) from 1940 until 1946.
I have a copy of his service record which shows that he qualified as a Patrol Service Seaman Gunner (PSSG) however I see that he also qualified as a PFF. Can anyone tell me what that is?
