Hello and thanks admin for allowing me here

I am in unfamiliar waters here so I am hoping a knowledgable soul will help me out

I am trying to locate service papers for a William STRICKLAND who was a Admiralty Victualler, Clothing Dept, Royal Victoria Yard.

He was born 1861 Deptford and worked at the Deptford Yard pre 1900 and after 1900 until at least 1913 when it was RVY

I have him on Ancestry in the 1871,1881,1901,1911 Census. 1891 missing so I dont know where he would have been then.

I have tried the national archives dockyard files with no result and also the Maritime Museum online records again with no result, this doesnt mean he is not there, it may be just im not capable of finding him

Maybe records dont exist

Any pointers or suggestions very welcome thankyou.  Rob
