Can anyone tell me if a certificate of service is the same as a service record?
I have my fathers certificate of service with a list of the places he was stationed but no ship names etc.

Yes, a Certificate of Service should show his branch, rating and ships and establishments etc

Post a picture of  the bases and dates and someone will decipher for you or you could email a copy to me and I’ll decipher for you

I have a list of ships and shore bases
